Thanks to Troy and South Alabama...
No discussion about the what I witnessed on the field in Mobile Thursday...

However honest thank you's are owed to the Troy and USA fans at Ladd-Pebbles. They were very hospitable and cheered when we gave them reason too. In addition, I really hope South Alabama hosts MT in late August, early September in the future, I need a reason to visit the coast!

Mobile is kind of a sub-tropical place that time of year. Make sure your Raiders are well-hydrated and in tip-top condition

Sounds like us talking to Minnesota fans this offseason. Our fall camp is almost always high 90's and into the triple digits and Tennessee is no stranger to high humidity either, in addition to that, we recruit Florida more than any other state. It will not be a problem.

Some people just can't let things go.

Your Florida & Gulf Coast boys will feel right at home, I'll grant you that. People that grew up in TN... not so much, IF the Mobile game is "late August, early September".

In August and September Mobile is on average 2 degrees warmer, gets 1 1/2-2 more inches of rain and 1 to 2 points higher in relative humidity than Murfreesboro. I can assure you that Middle Tennessee gets much hotter and muggier in August and September than you seem to think.

Even still in 2010 we had over 40 players on our roster from Florida, South Georgia, Coastal South Carolina or Southern Alabama/Louisiana.
