I recall a radio interview with Barry Booker, the
former basketball star who is now an analyst on TV and radio. He was talking with Bo Mattingly about Arkansas, and he said that in order to be a contender, you have to have three players who are legitimate SEC players, and that Arkansas did not have that last year.

I would argue that would hold true for our program. If, in order to compete, we need three legitimate SBC players. By that I mean top players who are as good as anyone in the league. And we don't. I'm not saying we don't have some decent players, but we don't have three that could play and start for any team in the league. I would imagine North Texas has three. Probably FAU also. I don't know about the other teams, but normally Western would have that, and I think they do this season. I wouldn't count them out yet. Karousch and Pettigrew are strong players and there might be a third who has been good in the past. Just an interesting observation.
