Folks,

After a year of reading the La Tech board I have come to one and only one conclussion.....

It is only good for this.



Do not respond, do not comment, just sit back and watch the idiots of that board (although not all, some DO realize the situation they are in) convince themselve that they are God's gift to college football and that any day now they will be in an AQ and dominate the world of NCAA athletics.

They are just minutes away from a CUSA invite.

I do enjoy visiting there to read some. While they do have some venomous posters, a lot are pretty sensible too.

The WAC has invited us 3 times - well before Boise jumped off that sinking ship. I actually like the two of you - you seem like rationale Tech fans. If we had a guy like HawgDog (or whatever the hell his name is) as a fan, we would ban him from our message board. He REALLY makes your fan base look ignorant.

yeah. one time they invited you to appease La Tech, against I might add the negative feelings everyone else had about it. The last few times were just because they were desperate. If Montana would change their minds, the WAC wouldn't even sniff your way. You don't offer any DFW market. Not at all. I am in Dallas all the time and it's like you barely exist. You guys go around acting like a new football stadium is going to be filled to the rafters. You might get people in at first to see the stadium, but your fan base will go right back to where it started just with a subliminal craving for something served hot now.

The only thing that has come out of your mouth that I believe. UNT desparately needed a new stadium. Fouts Field was so bad that OSHA and the ADA inspectors were too scared to inspect it!

Ill see your OSHA and RAISE you a HIGH SCHOOL stadium 30 minutes away from campus that was so bad, our coaching staff went out of thier way to not have recurits at home games.

Trust me, Lockhart trumps Fouts in terms of worst facility in the 'Belt.

SnotDawg is just an idiot. I really don't have a problem with any other fan of any other school in the country. I actually see the point that Tech fans make about differentiation. It's a common business practice. But some customers are bad for business. SlopDawg is one of them. He has a loud and ignorant voice. Every conference has a member that doesn't really belong. Even the Big 12 has Baylor and Iowa State. SEC has Vandy, WAC has Idaho and San Jose. Belt has ULM. They do not really have the money or support to compete consistently. But HotFog is a bad ambassador for the program. The guys that post on this board do so will civility and composure. We might not always agree but they make compelling sports for the need to differentiate. The funny thing IA that the statements could be made about their own school, and they know it. When you can't draw for a home game against an SEC team, your problems are bigger than the Belt. Perhaps Tech should go back to Indy land, they had a bit of national respect then. Now they are just another bottom feeder like the rest of us. But many of the Belt schools have the resources to pull out of obscurity whereas Tech does not and will not ever have that luxury due to location, economic pool, and now... conference affiliation.
