The Blue Raiders’ class is ranked 27th in the country with the signing of Raymond Cintron, Marcos Knight and Bruce Massey. Middle Tennessee’s signees have higher talent per player rankings than 14 schools ahead of them in the list.

HoopScoopOnline.com determines top classes by a talent ranking. Middle Tennessee has just three signees where other schools have five or more. The Sun Belt is listed as the 8th best league out of 32 when it comes to signing classes this season.

The Blue Raiders are also ranked first in the Sun Belt with a 5.7 talent ranking with the next closest conference school having a talent score of 3.2.

“We are extremely excited about the play of our early signees Marcos, Bruce and Raymond. They are all leading their teams to successful early starts. These three guys are all very different in style and play but in common all have toughness and passion for basketball,” head coach Kermit Davis said. “Add these three to our two redshirt players, 6-9 LaRon Dendy and 6-10 Torin Walker and we feel they give us an extremely balanced group to go with our returning players for the 2011-12 season.”

This doesn't make any sense

Don't we hear this every year? Then most of the signees don't make it?

They make it here. They just get worse as the years go by.

They play for Kermit Davis, that's what happens to them.

Doesn't make a difference. Davis is still our coach and we won't sniff the NCAA tournament as long as he is around.

That's nice to hear but why do we always sigh JC or CC players?

How does Kermit Davis recruit good players? What could he possibly say to them? "Hey there young fella, would you like to win 15-19 games a year and never make the postseason? Come on down to Middle Tennessee".
