BCS Boys did it again
I am amazed what has gone on the last few years to keep the Non-Aq conferences in check and the least damage to the six automatic conferences.

1. Last year they paired TCU and Boise State

2. This year its Bosie State and Utah.

This way they eliminated the chance that the non-Aq's could have beat the big boys 4-0.

They had to let TCU this year go to the Rose Bowl by agreement but they are probably not to happy about that.

The dufuss head of the BCS actually said when asked about UCONN going to a BCS bowl over teams ranked higher, The moron actually said its just like the ncaa tourney when the conference champs get an auto bid. He failed to mention the fact that in the NCAA basketball Tourney every conference gets an auto bid, not true in the bull **** BCS.

So here again with TCU, Nevada, Boise State and Utah all having good seasons only TCU gets to share in the BCS money bowl. 90% of all the money goes to the big six conferences again.

I cannot believe this system is still around. And guess what now we will lose TCU and Utah from the ranks of the non-aq. So the BCS conferences just cherry pick when the good programs rise up.

Yeah, the BCS is not a fair system . . . I do not think we will ever see a true playoff system in football . . . what a shame !!! 03-banghead

ESPN was blaming it on that Boise's fans do not travel well, if a bowl isn't going to sell tickets... then forget about it!

But on the opposite, all year every announcer would state how exciting it is to watch Boise play.

go figure...

Which at-large team were they going to pass up to take Boise? Arkansas? They sold their allotment in a couple hours and several hundred who thought they could get tickets are stuck with non-refundable reservations (one of the endearing traits of New Orleans for big events). Ohio State? They had no trouble with their allotment. Stanford? One of the best teams this year and large audience.

Check and Mate Boise (a.k.a non-AQ model program).

No matter how good you are, you can never travel as well as the huge BCS schools. Just another Ace up the BCS's sleeve.

The only way this anti-competitive cartel will ever be broken is through Congressional action. Ohh, but guess what....the loudest critic, Sen. Orin Hatch of Utah, was just invited to 'join the club'; wonder how vocal he'll be regarding these anti-competitive issues now. [hello Orin, Orin is that you, it's the non-AQ conferences here to talk to you about that issue we....click]

BYU remaining independent is good for the non-AQ schools. BYU joining the Big 12, especially with a school like Boise State (which brings the state of Idaho into the BCS) would be a huge blow.

I can't approve of BYU joining the Big 12 Conference and align with people like Dan Beebe. If BYU remembers the principles for which the school was founded, it would not allow itself to associate with these henchmen who lust for money and power.
