Man basketball just started and we are already getting the "Is baseball season here yet?" statements. I do concur that the Sun Belt conference is garbage this year.

At least the future looks better with the good recruits the schools are landing...?

Yeah, most teams in the Sun Belt seem to be recruiting well. MTSU picked up a 3* WR, which is the 4th 3* recruit so far. I think the Sun Belt will become much more competitive in a few years.

In BB it is the second down year. I hope we are better than that.

It is a little early to bail on Basketball already

People called me crazy when I said that last year may have been the worst year in the history of Sun Belt basketball...this year has the potential to be as bad or worse.

The second step is to have the cajones to do something about it.

This is where the basketball coaches, athletic directors, the commish of the SBC, and certain posters of this board are lacking.

It is a campus issue. The league caved on the old schedule requirements because the AD's and coaches convinced the presidents to repeal it.

Now they've put it back in place but I don't care what initiatives are taken on a league-wide basis, it simply doesn't matter until each school refuses to accept bad to mediocre results in ticket selling, fund-raising, and results on the court.
