Not that we've ever really helped the cause, but is there a correlation between the focus on football and the deterioration of the hoops rankings? In '03 we were the 10th rated hoops conference.

It's actually worse than that, because FIU and FAU are below .500 against D-1 opponents. Since that's all that matters for RPI and conference ranking, for all intents and purposes, we only really have two teams at .500 or above.
WKU gets a pass from me at this point. 3-4 against that schedule does not merit any condemnation.
stAte will get "well"soon enough with respect to their record. After playing the first 7 games away from home against mostly good competition, the Red Wolves will face the following teams @ home before the end of the year:

USA has been very poor shooting the ball and the opposing team has been very good shooting the ball, especially the 3 point shot. It's sad really how low our FG% has been. Our best shooting night was when our Coach was suspended.
Spring Hill (NAIA): 34.4%
USM: 28.3%
Central Michigan: 47.0% -- Coach Arrow Suspended
UAB: 31.8%
LSU: 33.3%
Alabama: 32.3%
One could only speculate how low our shooting percentage will be Saturday @ Louisville.
We let Pat Head Summitt's son hit a trey on us, in a 30-point loss to the UT men. He is a sophomore, and was a "member" of the Lady Vol women's team last year as a freshman practice player.
The arnge crowd went wild. Thankfully, I did not make the trek to Knoxville.
I'm not so sure Tyler Summitt even started for his high school program.

Enjoy it while it lasts.
UNT will lose about 86% of its scoring next year. And about 89% of its rebounding. Even with a good recruiting class that spells rebuild.
WKU is also losing high percentages next year, returning only 32% of its scoring and 26% of its rebounding.
FAU, ASU, and USA look to return the most next year.
FAU will return 90% of its scoring and 83% of its rebounding. After what I suspect will be a strong showing this year look for FAU to be preseason favorites next year.
ASU will return 72% of its scoring and 81% of its rebounding.
USA will return 69% of its scoring and 74% of its rebounding.
Troy, already picked last in the east this year, will lose a whopping 68% of thier scoring and 63% of thier rebounding. Talk about ouch.

If Coach Arrow doesn't turn this season around starting after this game (I don't expect it to start today @ Louisville) then we might lose 100% of our coaching.

Maybe, just maybe this is finally the year that we say next year is our year, and we're right. We only have three seniors who actually play and we have some younger players who are contributing and two big transfers who will be available next year...listen to me I sound like myself from several years ago, when I actually believed this kind of talk.
