Nice win... Georgetown is overrated and really hasn't played well throughout most of the season. I think Keady is also paying dividends on his bench.

I said it was nice... which, in my mind equals good. Not sure of your issue here. I think that Lavin has them playing well.

Georgetown loses again. They won't be ranked next week.

suddenly our victory over them doesn't seem like such a big deal. I believe you stated that somewhere above

Biggest mistake of their lives. I think the SEC should send an invitation to the Aggies and TCU. Those "Oh, TCU is coming to the BE" dreams would end real quick, and we'd have the Tejas market. /evil

....and I do NOT want that pompous ass Texas team. They're the reason the Big-12 imploded. That conference doesn't share like the SEC.

Wouldn't bother me... I want the Big East to have a presence in Texas, and I like TCU, but at the end of the day they still are a huge geographic issue for non-revenue sports.
That being said, TCU doesn't really mesh with the SEC. Small school, only 38,000 seats in their stadium. Not a flagship type school... they fit much better with the Big East as a team that is not the top school in their state/region, but can hold its own (UC, Louisville, Pitt, South Florida, UConn). Recruiting with the BCS label can certainly only make them better.
At this point the Big East should just invite Boise State and BYU as football only invites and really upgrade the conference. Of course, Boise and BYU would want part of the basketball money, but the basketball side doesn't want to add any more DePaul's that bring nothing. Hopefully TCU will be able to recruit better basketball and compete in the BE.

RE: TCU to Big East
the BE has always been a great basketball conference and i dont see that changing. but they need to get better with football. TCU will help. But i still dont understand why a school from texas is in the Big East...

RE: TCU to Big East
The geographic center of the contiguous 48 states is in Lebaon, Kansas-which is slightly further west than Forth Worth, Texas. Therefore TCU is in the Eastern half of the country.

In The BEast, we use jografy. It's a little more inclusive than pure geography...
