I think you would be shocked how many ULM would take to New Orleans. West Monroe fans turn out in DROVES to New Orleans. Monroe people love going to New Orleans and I think being our first bowl we would have a LOT go down there.

Monroe might bring 200 fans, MT might bring 400.

If the bowls want to maximize thier ticket revenue - they should send Troy to NO (who will travel well to either NO or Mobile), MT to Mobile (i'm confident MT would outdraw ULM), and ULM to Detroit (I just don't see ULM as having a large traveling fan base).

RE: Updated Bowl Projections from CFN
Stop worrying about Detroit. Big 10+2 looks like they will fill the spot, but Birmingham is looking pretty solid. Vandy and Tennessee have to win out to make a bowl...ain't happening for either. Ole Miss has to win 3 of 4 to make a bowl....I seriously doubt it. Georgia has to beat either Auburn, @Auburn, or GT in Athens. Since Georgia isn't going to win at Auburn, they have to beat GT in the last game to go bowling. Kentucky is not a lock to get to 6 wins, but their schedule is VERY easy so I think they make it. $EC could very well only have 8 bowl eligible teams which would leave Birmingham and Liberty open for somebody. The Big East could also be short leaving St. Pete open, and the Pac 10 will leave at least two bowls open for somebody.
Since Army and Navy will most likely be eligible, CUSA will probably have a team or two looking for a bowl too, so I hope we can count on Mr. Waters little contracts this time.

RE: Updated Bowl Projections from CFN
My guesstimate as of today.

MTSU to GMAC
Troy to St.Pete or Birmingham
ULM to New Orleans

ULM is the political choice, the state is slashing dollars for the bowl games so an in-state school playing helps their cause.
MTSU executed a good plan for bowl sales in New Orleans and did well, GMAC will take a piece of the action and not re-run Troy.
Troy depends on how ESPN shuffles its games and the travel works for either.

If ASU beats MTSU tonight, ASU enters the mix needing two of the final three (WKU, @Navy, @FIU). If ASU wins the needed games probably headed to New Mexico.

I think Detroit covers its spots unless two of Boise, TCU, and Utah pick up a loss, we know one will. If two lose then Big 10 probably sends a second team to the BCS shorting Detroit. Boise still travels to Idaho and Nevada. If TCU beats Utah they are probably safe hosting SDSU and traveling to New Mexico. It Utah beats TCU, they still have to travel to a very down Notre Dame, travel to SDSU, and host BYU. Any of those are potential upsets.
