Me too, Owen. We moved the ball OK but the speed of the defense was hard to account for. How many defensive ends can leap up, catch a pass and outrace a pretty fast QB to the end zone? We won't see that in the MAC. When we have equivalent experience next year we may see a very different game. I'm not picking the Rockets just yet but it won't be this bad.

Actually, going back to WMU, I think that the D Lineman, Dan Bazouin (or something like that) did the exact same thing on us, too.

WMU and Boise St.
Clones? Or, coincidence?

He got a fumble and Opelt just stood there- I remember screaming like crazy and watching Opelt stand and watch while Buizine ran ten yards, then started chasing him. I'm pretty sure Opelt thought it would be called an incomplete pass and didn't start running until he realized no whistle was forthcoming. I still see red when I think of that play.
