Damn,

I went to bed at half time with ULL in the lead and thought i would wake up to see at least a close ending if not a actual win.

When the hell are SunBelt teams gonna learn to play a full 4 quarters?!?!?!?!?!?!?

You can't kneel out 5 min. from the 1 yd. line. What is he supposed to do? If the defense doesn't want the offense to score, they should do something to stop them.

Let's see. Your running game has been giving them fits all night. So let's throw. With your starting QB. And "so what" if the receiver is local?

I say it is your job on defense to stop the offense.

I don't think they should have kneeled the ball with 5 minutes left. Nor do I think they should have rolled over. That's insulting to the UL players on the field, some of which may be backups getting reps. I would be insulted if the team that had a 25 point lead just stopped playing to "take it easy" on me. If I'm a player I wanna get every rep I can at full speed. Now if its under a minute, I do think they should kneel the ball, but not with 5 minutes of precious game time left.

Maybe if you know the whole story on that final pass it wont be as bad for u...Wilson Youman caught the TD and he is from St. Martinville, LA which is right outside of Lafayette. They gave him his chance to score in front of a lot of friends and family. So I don't think it was as tasteless as you might think.

Nope, it WAS tasteless.

26,000 plus on a Friday night. Maybe you guys might put that many in your new stadium next season?03-nutkick03-lmfao
Not trying to knock the crowd; just thought it would have been a packed house being who you were playing. Top 25, Big 12. Guess I was expecting one of those A & M type crowds at the swamp. Good game regardless.

I think you can relate to having no faith in the coaching staff, you are seeing it played out down in Lafayette. Possible coaching candidate Joe Deforest spoke with a few major Cajun supporters Thursday night at the hotel, he has interest in the position if it becomes available.

DeForest at UL would be great. or what about Dana Holgerson. seems like the head coaching position at UL would be a good situation for a new coach considering the gobs of talent in Louisiana, especially in the southern part of the state.

Joe Deforest is a former Cajun football and baseball athlete, thus the interest in the program. Dana Holgerson is much like Major Applewhite, neither have any interest in coaching a Sun Belt Conference program. Both Holgerson and Applewhite's name came up during the Tech coachng search, neither had any interest in interviewing for the position. Both of these coaches have their sites set much higher.
