Actually not. Yes, Troy's defense played like crap in the second half. But had the play been properly reviewed, Troy blew a big lead but won by 6 points. Period. The guy's ass was 2 feet from the goal line. Not good enough by any standard. Troy wins.

Troy was up 23-0, and melted down. If you're going to be pissed, be pissed about that, not one call on one play you didn't get.

Conference USA officials said today that they have portable play review cameras that are positioned at the goal line when a team is in the red zone, but the cameras were not place there Saturday despite an expected Hail Mary pass. Hmmmm. Local TV and still cameras showed the play was over at the 1, as did the official camera used for the closed circuit TV feed. But those were apparently not used. Convenient for the home team. Pathetic.

I'll repeat myself again. It should not have mattered that Troy squandered the lead. The ref gave the game to UAB. Troy won it on the field.

Check the scoreboard. Troy squandered a lead. It mattered.

You were outscored 21-7 in the 4th quarter.

You kept throwing the ball on your last possession, instead of eating the clock.

You failed to swat down a deep ball over a short receiver.

You let a junior QB who hadn't played any appreciable football since high school slice, dice, and make julienne fries out of your secondary.

Are all of these things the refs' fault, too?

You've been looking at pics and videos of the wrong game them. Even members over at BlazerTalk have been saying themselves it wasn't a touchdown. I'm not sure how you can conclude to yourself it was the right call...

My original point was, (and one that's getting ignored) that one call on one play wasn't why Troy lost the game. If you believe that it was, then it was the only play of the second half you saw.

Can't deny UAB outplayed Troy in the 2nd half. They certainly did. Fact of the matter is, the game was lost on that bad call, regardless UAB's comeback up until those last 10 seconds.

So, we're going to ignore every play but one?

That's going to make for some quick games.

Well I know one thing for sure...UAB can't beat Troy legit so they got some help from the incompetant C-USA officials. Because UAB is nothing more...or less...than a 3rd rate program we were screwed because they didn't have the proper equipment in place to make the correct call. We'll see you next year in Troy and I'm sure we'll have enough cameras on the field as well as non-biased refs.
