Winless Watch: Week 3
Huh!! UAB has a 100% chance of beating Troy....and Memphis has an 80% chance of beating MT. I guess we haven't earned any credibility from our friend Andrea Adelson.

http://espn.go.com/blog/ncfnation/post/_...tch-week-3

Western Kentucky (0-2). Streak: L 22. This week: Indiana. Chances: 1 percent. The Hilltoppers have not come close, getting outscored 112-38 in their first two games. They have a good running back in Bobby Rainey, who has 339 yards and three touchdowns this year. But they need more than a running back to win.

North Texas (0-2). Streak: L 6. This week: at Army. Chances: 40 percent. The Mean Green's chances took a serious hit when Nathan Tune went out for the season with a dislocated hip. They played Clemson tough and lost a heartbreaker to Rice, but without Tune it will be tough.

Memphis (0-2). Streak: L 8. This week: Middle Tennessee. Chances: 80 percent. Memphis has not been competitive in any of its games, but this is the first at home under new coach Larry Porter. An upset would not be out of the realm of possibility, even with freshman Ryan Williams at quarterback.

UAB (0-2). Streak: L 4. This week: Troy. Chances: 100 percent. The Blazers lost a tough one to FAU in the opener. Troy is always a terrific team, and Corey Robinson has played well so far. Jerrel Jernigan is one of the fastest players in the country. But the Trojans will have a hard time slowing down David Isabelle.

FIU (0-1). Streak: L 3. This week: at Texas A&M. Chances: 1 percent. The Panthers played valiantly against Rutgers, but coach Mario Cristobal is waffling with his quarterbacks. Never good.

ULM (0-1). Streak: L 3. This week: at Arkansas State. Chances: 20 percent. The Warhawks played Arkansas really tough, but Ryan Mallett ended up throwing for 400 yards. They face another prolific quarterback this week.

Arkansas State (0-2). Streak: L 2. This week: ULM. Chances: 80 percent. Arkansas State nearly beat Louisiana last week and has Ryan Aplin at quarterback, who has thrown for 716 yards already this season, second-most in the country.

That woman is on crack. I have withheld commenting on her, but this is just crazy. I miss Graham. I say we ignore her blogs and posts. Why feed her with hits?

I wish she was required to put money down for every insane prediction she made. You never bet against the spread with Troy and the spread says Troy will win this one.

RE: Winless Watch: Week 3
I too had been withholding comments on her blogs, but I couldn't hold back today.

The beautiful thing about picking percentages is that outside of her picks of 100% she's not picking winners or losers. So no matter who wins she can just say that she only said such and such had a certain percentage of winning. And beyond that even some of her "100%" picks she's leaving herself room. She gave SJSU a 100% chance but then left herself room saying they "should be able to handle a FCS team, should being the operative term". On a personal note, as a Middle Tennessee alumni, I don't see how she gives Memphis an 80% chance of winning but then says an upset would not be out of the realm of possibility. If she gives them a 80% chance of pulling the upset, than she's saying the upset is likely to happen...

Ms Adelson, I know you've had a fair share of critical fan responses so far, so I don't want to pile on and I don't have a problem with anything that you wrote, just your concept for this article. Either make picks or don't, this percentage stuff is pretty weak.

I don't understand, UAB 100 percent to win? Didn't they just lose at home to FAU? Troy is one of the best teams in the SB. UAB winning would be the actual upset, Imo.

Memphis isn't very good. I understand it is their home opener and MTSU will most likely be without Dasher...but 80 percent? I would still have to believe it's 50/50. And if Dasher was to play, it would have to be 70 or 80 in favor of MTSU.

Guess it goes to show the respect others have for the Sun Belt. I hope every Sun Belt team wins this week.

We lost to Florida and FAU last year to close out the season. Although I agree half of the articles she writes are crap, Graham Watson was much better.
