The First Big Weekend for the SEC
http://www.presnapread.com/the-first-big...r-the-sec/

What to expect from Arkansas and Louisiana-Monroe? Roughly the same as what we saw from Georgia and Louisiana-Lafayette a week ago — points, a pleasant evening for the family, a laugher for the Razorbacks before heading into conference play. The only question? Ryan Mallett’s final line. Remember that the Heisman contender played well into the second half against Tennessee Tech, throwing a pair of third quarter touchdowns before ending his day having hit on 21 of his 24 attempts for 310 yards and 3 scores. I’d be surprised by anything less than a repeat of those numbers — maybe more, in fact, should the Razorbacks not hold an overwhelming halftime advantage.

Also of note: Kentucky hosts woeful Western Kentucky. The Wildcats are coming off a win over in-state rival Louisville, their fourth consecutive victory in the series. The best news from Kentucky’s win? While we don’t yet know what effect Charlie Strong will have on the U.L. defense in his first season, the Kentucky offense was very well-balanced — though the Wildcats scored only 23 points. Quarterback Brian Hartline was solid, if not spectacular. After a 39-point loss to Nebraska last weekend, W.K.U. is still searching for its first win as a full-fledged member of the F.B.S. Maybe next week.
