Hawaii reaching out to Senator to get out of WAC
Posted by TT on the Texas State board:

The University of Hawaii has asked for the assistance of U.S. Sen. Dan Inouye, D-Hawaii, in its bid to secure a conference home for its athletic program.

"(UH) reached out to the senator and he stands ready to help," said Peter Boylan, Inouye's press secretary.

The WAC is getting what it deserves. Too many fans in that conference that think they are AQ schools.

Yes. That is interesting. Especially when they're looking at all FCS schools. If they got Montana, wouldn't they have to wait until the FBS freeze to be lifted? And who knows really when that would happen.

WAC sounds like they're in dire straits. Hope LTU enjoys it.

It's actually a 10 member conference.

You forgot about Palau Pacific and Samoa-Monroe.

RE: Hawaii reaching out to Senator to get out of WAC
Hawaii was doing everything they could to get into the Pac-10/12. They had a deal all set up to offset travel costs, and off the top of my head, UH is more or less academically equivalent to Utah. I'll check on their #'s tonight though to see how close it really is.
