Half of those 6 would fare just fine in the MAC, WAC, and probably Coosa too

Agreed, our biggest problem is perception.

We all just need to win more OCC games. That's it, win and they will find someone else to write about.

It was an easy and expected dig at the SBC. We all pretty much have AQ teams scheduled for the first game of the season, so why not place a ton of SBC schools in the Bottom 10? It makes writing the article that much easier. All the author needs now is for at least half of those listed to lose and he won't lose much credibility. At the end of the day, it does come down to perception and scheduling.

Plus they just CANT resist the F_U and UL Pick um Monikers. Its just too easy and to catchy not to put up there for preseason.

And I agree, win and your off it. Although I have to say that Im VERY surprised that Memphis was'nt on there at 2-10. Thats what not being in the Sun Belt gets you. A "off the hook" for preseason nominations.

Waiting list: Colorado State (3-9), Illinois (2-10), Maryland (2-10), Memphis (2-10), Rice (2-10), Vanderbilt (2-10) and Washington State (1-11).

Looks like everyone else won 3 games at the most, but they do love the F_U and UL-U-Pick'em. Combined the UL schools were at .500, and F_U was 8-16. Heck, FAU was a win away from a .500 season, with two losses by 2 points, and another by only 7.

But I can't argue about WKU and North Texas.

We all have an opportunity to change the Preception of our programs by winning games. But, this is another reason why we do not need to add any FCS programs at this point. The SBC has enough problems at this time with our reputation as a squatters conference for former FCS programs.

Sad part for FIU will be that they could play Rutgers close, lose, and STILL be on the list.

More particularly, two 6-6 Sunbelt teams.

While they have several 2 win teams on the waiting list.
