I haven't commented on this thread previously, but it is certainly good to see that someone at EMU is winning! To be completely honest, if Superfan never would have posted this thread I probably never would have went to a Volleyball game. However that all changed last night and I'll tell you it's fun to watch. Here are some of my observations from the game:
- Attendance: I am a huge EMU hoops fan and I'm not proud of what I am about to say, but here it goes. I have been to SEVERAL Men's Hoops games that had a smaller crowd than last night's Volleyball game.
- Excitement: Not only was I shocked to see how many people were there, but they were all REALLY excited about Volleyball. I commented to a friend of mine that "I don't even know how to cheer for Volleyball!" But the fans in the stands QUICKLY taught me how it was done.
- Family Atmosphere: I was able to take my "Almost Two" year old son to the game and he absolutely loved all the cheering and screaming for the teams. Forget the fact that he clapped and cheered for both teams, just to see him that engaged for longer than a few minutes was great.
- Winning: Did I mention they're winning?
My son and I had a GREAT time.
I saw Superfan down there in the student session leading the "Go Green, Go White" cheers...
