Nice,

FAU had a good run on thier Europe trip going 3-0-1.

Yes there was a tie. The facility that the game was played in had a (wait for it.......)

BADMINTON match scheduled and would not bump it back so they could finish the game. I had no idea that Badminton was a big deal over there.

Just out of curiosity, how is it that any SBC team can be playing exhibitions at this point of the year? Is there some sort of exemption for playing overseas?? Just wondering.

You can play exhibitions without penalty. I don't know the exact rules for it, but it is something like you are eligible every three years? There is a limit of how many games/hours you can play, but this widely practiced. I think there might also be a rule in place to not play any other NCAA schools. It's basically extra practice time that the NCAA allows you to take. Usually the opponents are in Europe.

You can can take a foreign tour once every four years in the summer, and you get up to 10 pre-tour practices with your coaches to prepare for it.

The Pioneers have 6 games on this tour of Spain - two are against lower division pro teams, two against second division pro teams, and two games against top division pro teams.

I expect DU should win the lower division games, 50/50 on the second division games, and will likely get waxed in the first divsion games.

Here is Senior Point Guard Kyle Lewis' trip journal so far - good read.
