To you, it's not, because it helps your overblown sense of self-importance.

The Sun Belt is a football league still in it's infancy. What members did before they got here are relevant to the individual members, but not to the conference. If Arkansas State had won a national championship while in the Big West, it would be relevant to Arkansas State and to the Big West, not to the Sun Belt. The same holds true for any games played against Memphis.
