School President Milton Glick confirmed the move during a news conference on the Reno campus Wednesday night effective in either 2011 or 2012. He called it a "momentous day" for the university

They also both confirmed the $5 million dollar buyouts. Fresno thinks they are going to negotiate thier buyout.

it was dumb to sign those buyouts. Its like your boss saying you're getting a pay cut and I want you to sign a paper saying that if you find a job your first year's paycheck goes to us.

Well I'm happy my school landed with most of its old mates. So how long until La Tech asks to comeback to the Belt? Also if BYU ends up staying I see Houston getting the 12th spot. UNT or MTSU replaces them?

Well..... if UNT joined they'd definitely improve their chances at a conference championship year in and year out. Not sure if I'd be too proud of it though. It would be like winning the special olympics with that list of teams. 03-lmfao

I'm not even saying that the comment was correct at that time when Nevada and Fresno were still in the fold, but with Nevada and Fresno in the fold, at least UNT would be the ninth member in a conference with some attractive members, moving to the WAC now would be crazy, crazier than hiring a high school football coach.
