It truly is.
The MTSU crew is eating it up. I've seen mentions of 'Dasher for Heisman'.
If they lose to Minnesota, you may see a meltdown.

Very similar....but on a much larger scale.
Has Dasher switched to a #4 jersey yet?

Its the nature of the beast. Troy fans did that when we started winning a lot of FBS games. MT fans swear their heads won't swell up because "obviously" their fanbase is on a whole different level of morality and level headedness. With new power and success, comes conceit, no matter what your fan base is.
I've never made a prediction on Troy/MTSU - it's too early. I do think that Minnesota beats MTSU. They'll be better than MTSU thinks. MTSU has too much to replace right away (half the defense, a starting center, and a couple of receivers). Big Ten Teams can replace talent losses much quicker. They have a lot of 4 stars and a ton of three stars. So, on paper, for what it's worth, Minn is the clear favorite. But that mean too much, just that they can replace talent quickly, IMO. They also have a senior QB and bring back eight on offense if I'm correct. There are huge mismatches in the trenchs: Minn is really big, and MTSU is really small. MTSU's replacements are even smaller than they were last year. I think MT fans are underestimating the Gophers. They're still a Big Ten team.

The majority of Dasher for Heisman talk was centered around the article in which Mario Cristobal said that he thought he could win it and the majority of all MT fans know it's such a far flung idea it's not even really worth talking about. If he can have a similar year to last year, cut his interceptions in half and improve his completion percentage five or six points, we'll see possibly the best ever season by a Sun Belt quarterback, but even with numbers like that I don't think he'd even sniff the Heisman ceremony, let alone win it. In order for a player to win the Heisman out of the Sun Belt the player would have to put up superhuman stratospheric type numbers, like video game numbers.
