Quote:...A Dec. 21 home game against the Commodores is the highlight of MTSU's newly-released 2010-11 hoops schedule. Last season, Vanderbilt beat the Blue Raiders 65-57 at Memorial Gym, but the Commodores last came to Murfreesboro in 1995 when MTSU won 93-90 in overtime (the Blue Raiders' only win in the series since the 1930s)......

...UAB, a Conference USA member, will play at MTSU on Nov. 17, following the Nov. 12 season-opener at home against Tennessee Temple. The Blazers, who went 25-9 and went to the NIT last season, made their only appearance at Murphy Center in 1986......

...Evansville, a Missouri Valley Conference team, will come to MTSU on Nov. 24, the day before Thanksgiving, and host the Blue Raiders on Dec. 18. The Purple Aces have never played MTSU in men's basketball........

Evansville's team was scheduled to play Middle Tennessee before but that team never made it to Murfreesboro. The Evansville team was lost in a plane crash on their way. Link on the Evansville Aces plane crash.

Another basketball schedule with sub 250 RPI teams. Several of the teams on our schedule this year only had better RPI's last year than New Orleans, UALR, and FIU.
