Arkansas State Receives NCAA Letter of Inquiry
I hope this doesn't turn into a bigger issue. We don't need one of the rising programs in conference to get dragged back.

It shouldn't. This started two years ago. Our compliance people were rounding up instead of down on certain classes and it resulted in a few players in several sports being a fraction of an hour short on their progress towards completing their degree. ASU discovered it and self-reported.

Same compliance person that cost us with Orien Green, she should have never been hired at ASU.

I believe most agreed with your opinion when she was hired....with the exception of the one doing the hiring.

When Green transferred from Florida, he wanted to follow John Pelphrey to USA. Pel begged and pleaded to get him in but our compliance folks wouldn't do it. There were lots of raised eyebrows in Mobile when he was allowed in ULL. Good for you guys getting rid of the person you are speaking about and they should never be allowed to be in a position like that again. I assume this ASU thing will ensure that.

Yep, I remember that very well. Some Jag fans and UNO fans couldn't help themselve's accusing UL of cheating with Green and Mitchell. The so-called "On Line Course" was the problem. No cheating at UL, just an unqualified and incompetent compliance officer that was hired on the cheap.
