ASU also returns its entire OL, many of whom missed large chucks of last season (which was the main reason for the struggles). I'd rather be picked low. We never seem to do well when picked in the top spots.
These writers seem to think Dasher is the 2nd coming of Tebow. He had a career game in New Orleans.....can he repeat that?
He's a really good QB.....but he throws too many picks. If he can change that, the writers may be correct.
As I said in another thread discussing Dasher's effectiveness next year, if he can cut down on multiple pick games, he'll be fine. He didn't throw one in seven out of thirteen games last year, but in the six games that he did throw a pick in, he threw two in two of them and three in three of them. Hopefully he's worked on putting mistakes out of his mind and will stop trying to force things that aren't there. Overall our offense should be improved with a much more deadly run attack, I really think Dasher will cut his interceptions in half this year.
No offense, but watching Dasher play I get the feeling he is not very good at reading defensive coverages. He also seems to throw it up for grabs when pressured. Troy dropped 2 or 3 interceptiins last yeat that were ill advised passes on his part. It wouldn't suprise me to see his numbers drop this now that teams have seen his game. Especially with drop off in receiver for MT this year.

If Troy fans don't want to take MT fans word for it maybe they will take, their lord and savior, Tony Franklin's word for it. He says it takes until about week 5 for the offensive line to learn the protections. I believe our record was pretty good after that. I also believe we played a few defense that rated higher than Troy's. I'll let you stat guys check that out. You keep judging us off one game and the rest of the world will judge us on the entire body of work. I gave up long ago trying to cure trojans of Myopia.

RE: Sun Belt writers give Middle Tennessee edge
Why all the hate for Dasher? If he is not the projected best QB in the Sun Belt then who is? Every other good QB in the Sun Belt is gone. Corey Lenord, Rusty Smith, and Levi Brown are all graduated. Everyone else is new for the most part. Dasher is the logical choice for offensive player of the year.

Kinda scary having every writer (except ULM's choice for DPOY) pick a MT player for offensive and defensive POY.

I don't think people read entire posts anymore, I'm guilty of that too. I was commenting on that one game that some other troy fan commented on. I guess whether you were talking about me or not is irrelevant since you said "troy fans." I was describing that one game, how fans said it was because he didn't show up. I'm defending the point that it was our front seven that stopped you guys, not Dashers inability to show up for a big game.
I know MT will good, but it can't go without saying there are a lot of concerns even with what you guys have returning. There's a lot of parallels to this and FAU's 2007-2008 seasons - but that doesn't mean you'll have the same fate; it's just food for thought.

It wouldn't suprise me to see WKU win at least 4 games this year.

So I'm guessing Omar wasn't that good then.
Last year Dwight had fewer interceptions, more touchdowns and a higher passer rating than Haugabook ever had in a season, all while nearly doubling Haugabook's best rushing year.
Just saying...

Good enough to beat Middle twice. I have openly criticized Omar's decision making. Give me Levi any day.
I'm just saying, you know winning conference championships trump stats.

I haven't seen 'hate' for Dasher.
I cheered for him during the bowl game when he wiped the field with USM.....and will do so again this year in whatever bowl he goes to.
