And it's that current attitude that's going to cause the meltdown. The Heat are not unbeatable, far from it. It won't matter if they get bounced by the Magic in the second round or if they lose in the finals to the Lakers on a buzzer beater in game 7, the Heat fans will be outraged because right now it's an inconceivable thought that anyone else even stands a chance at winning the title next year.

I'll call it right now, LA Lakers in 6.

I think some folks are forgetting that these 3 have played together. Back in 2008, and they got that Gold Medal to show for it. Sure there were tons of other superstars like Kobe, Howard, CP3, etc on the team. But this isn't like the first time they've stepped on the court together.

So you are now calling the Heat to reach the Finals next year....not bad. 04-cheers

Now seriously, I don't know who else the Heat might be able to get to join the team, but Miami has already signed back Udonis Haslem, and now attracted Mike Miller as well. Reports are that both Ilgauskas (spelling?)..the former Cavs' teammate of Lebron, and Juwan Howard are close to signing as well. There's been numerous rumors that the Heat will sign again FIU's Carlos Arroyo as well as former FIU'er Raja Bell to round up the team.

It's gonna be exciting in Miami for NBA hoops for sure. Wow!

Now I never said the Heat wouldn't reach the finals, but if I'm being honest, as good as they are, I think they have a better shot of being knocked out before the finals than the Lakers do. The Lakers road to the finals has gotten easier with Amare to New York and Boozer to Chicago. Phoenix is adding new pieces including Hedo, but regardless assuming that the Lakers are the best in the west and the Heat are the best in the east, I think there are probably 3-4 teams(after Miami) that could finish 2nd in the west.

And FWIW-Raja will end up in L.A., the Heat cannot afford him.

Zydrunas Ilgauskas has now joined Udonis Haslem and Mike Miller (courted by Bulls, Knicks, Cav's, etc.) on the Heat; not to mention the two big bodies the Heat drafted.

So the three player and nothing else theory seems to have sprung a big leak. It's going to be a long, long, party down here. These guys are in their prime!
