Wittels in Espn's cross sport power rankings
ESPN LINK

Rank (LW) Player Comment
1 (NR) Roy Halladay
He joins the "27 up and 27 down" club by throwing the 20th perfect game in MLB history.
2 (4) Kobe Bryant
Double-team him, attack him with a zone, smother him with Grant Hill … it won't matter! Kobe puts up 33.7 points per game and shoots 52 percent from the field in Game 6. Breathe, Suns fans, breathe.
3 (NR) Dario Franchitti
It was 95 degrees Sunday when Franchitti won his second Indy 500. For once, milk was not a bad choice.
4 (13) Ubaldo Jimenez
This guy is unreal! Ten wins and a .78 ERA by the first day of June. Basically unhittable.
5 (8) Ray Allen
He got game! The Celtics' pure shooter continues to nail big shots when they need him to.
6 (NR) Ron Artest
Hitting the game winner in Game 5? Shooting 57 percent from the 3-point line in Game 6? Who is this guy?!
7 (6) Rajon Rondo
Rajon might have injured his back, but he refused to back off. The Boston PG scored 14 points despite suffering an injury in the first quarter of Game 6.
8 (14) Paul Pierce
Pierce exploded for 31 points and 13 rebounds for the Celtics in Game 6 against Orlando. The Magic clearly couldn't handle The Truth.
9 (2) Antti Niemi
After a shaky performance in Game 1, the Blackhawks' star goalie picks up where he left off in the San Jose series and stops 33 shots on goal.
10 (12) Pau Gasol
Gasol shoots 50 percent from the field and puts up 21 points in Game 5 against the Suns.
11 (NR) Nate Robinson
He might be only 5-foot-8 but he came up huge in Game 6. Thirteen points in the second quarter? The Celtics will take it!
12 (NR) Miguel Cabrera
He leads the AL in RBIs and went 4-for-5 with a home run Sunday against the A's.
13 (20) Kurt Busch
Winner, winner, chicken dinner … again. Kyle's brother crosses the finish line first at the Coca-Cola 600 and lands at No. 13.
14 (NR) Kevin Garnett
Celtic No. 5 to land on our list. Clearly, they're doing something right.
15 (NR) Rashad Evans
He defeated Quinton "Rampage" Jackson on Saturday and now gets a shot against UFC light heavyweight champ Mauricio "Shogun" Rua. Fight on!
16 (NR) Robinson Cano
The New York slugger hit cleanup Friday and cleaned out the bases with a grand salami against the Indians.
17 (NR) Danny Briere
In Game 1, he added a goal and three assists to his already impressive playoff résumé that includes 22 points. Unfortunately for the Flyers, point No. 23 would not come in Game 2.
18 (NR) Garrett Wittels
Fifty-four down, four to go! With his 54th consecutive hit, the Florida International infielder continues to follow in Robin Ventura's footsteps.

19 (NR) Justin Morneau
Joe Mauer isn't the only talented "JM" in Twins town. Justin Morneau continues to flourish, leading the AL in batting average, slugging, OPS and OBP.
20 (1) Michael Leighton
Oh, how the mighty have fallen. Our No. 1 last week barely makes the cut, thanks to his 24 saves in Game 2.
