I didn't think it hurt the APR if he left in good academic standing.

Wow....I was very impressed with his play last season, and I hate to see such good talent that came to the SBC to leave....

Where did that arsisstant go ?

We have seen quite a few of our conference's better players transfer out to so-called "bigger and better" programs. Tampering ?

Chad Dollar went to the MVC and Wichita State. Which would be a much higher rated mid jajor program

We lose one point in the APR because he left to go to another 4 year school and he is eligible

So where is he going? Did he follow the coach to Wichita State if so he sits out the year doesn't he?

There was an article about an MT bkb transfer (a rarity, I know ) and it said if he had a 2.6 then it wouldn't hurt the APR at all.

I am sad to hear that in so far as it hurts Sunbelt basketball. Reed is a heck of a player and losing him takes the belt down a notch (from where it would have been).

But I am certainly glad we don't have to play against him for three more years.

Big props to Coach Brady for his statement and support for stAte...very impressive!

So does this make UNT the prohibative favorite to win the west next year?

After thinking about this, it's kind of disappointing that the Sun Belt has lost two Freshman Player of the Year in consecutive seasons, since Freddy Asprilla also left FIU last year after being named SBC FOY in 2008-09.

I would imagine so. I think we proably would have been a slight favorite anyways.

ASU still has a lot coming back. We may still get Boone back on a medical redshirt. Boone was our leading scorer 2 years ago and would have started over Brandon Reed if he hadn't got hurt in the first game last year.

Boone did start ahead of him for the five minutes before he blew his knee ending his season.
