Former Rocket and current Minnesota Vikings RB Chester Taylor will be on First Serves with Steve Jarnicki on Thursday January 14. The interview can be heard on Fox Sports Radio 1230 WCWA in NW Ohio, or http://www.firstservesradio.com Tune in at 3:00 PM.

Any questions from the Rocket faithful, that you would like Chester to answer??

RE: Chester Taylor on Toledo Radio
Lately, the long term effects of playing at the professional level has been the news. His take on how he thinks it would/is affecting him would be interesting to me.

RE: Chester Taylor on Toledo Radio
One pretty obvious one: he was signed as the feature back and had a big year his first year in Minnesota. Then came rookie Adrian Peterson. Chester's contract makes him a free agent this year. How does he see that working out? Or more directly, how would he LIKE IT to work out?

Would love to see the Lions go after him. He would definitely be the feature back.

I was thinking the same thing. It may happen. For a running back - he is nearing the end of his career and it would be great if he could finish up in his hometown and be part of the rebuilding effort there. I think the Lions are finally on the right track to rebuilding - all they had to do was get Millen and Ford out of the picture and get some good drafts going. the positive for Taylor is thay he has probably taken a lot less pounding than a lot of other backs because of his back-up role in Baltimore and now in Minny. He's not suffered any major injuries to my knowledge - so his knees should be in pretty good shape. He can still block, catch, block, and run pretty well - and probably in that order compared to Peterson.

Agree 100% Moto. I think since he hasn't had the carries of a typical feature back, he still has a lot left in his legs. When I watch him play, I don't see any age on him yet. I think he has a good 3 years left in him.
