Women's Track at WMU
Good luck to the women as they take on Western today in a rare dual meet. You almost never see dual meets anymore in college track and field.

RE: Women's Track at WMU
Nice job by Lady Rockets. Looks like it was a close one 71.5 - 67.5. Down to the 4x4. Much, much improved team. They won the 55m, 55mH, 200, 3000m, 1-2-3 in Triple Jump and 1-2 High Jump. Nice performances for a 200m track and just getting back from break. Western is a very good track program but a horrible xc program. Doesn't look like Coach Hadsell ran top distance girls in their main events so it could have been even closer! Dual meets don't mean anything anymore but looks like a great effort.

If dual meets serve a purpose it may be to give one confidence against certain opponents come MAC time. When yo know you beat them head to head it makes it a little easier in a larger setting. There appears to be some depth this year in jumps and , obviously indistance events. I keep hoping Lisa Johnson would high jump after her hoops season. She was pretty good in HS.
