Early three-point baskets from Eastern Michigan University’s Jay Higgins (Fayetteville, N.C.-IMG Academy-Hillsborough (Fla.) C.C.), Carlos Medlock (Detroit, Mich. Murray Wright) and Antonio Green (Inkster, Mich.-Robichaud) set the tone for the Eagles, as they capitalized on a fast start en route to a 75-64 win over the visiting James Madison University Dukes Saturday night, Dec. 12, here in the Convocation Center.

The Eagles held a slim, 32-29, halftime lead and out-scored the visitors, 43-35, in the second half with the one-two punch of Brandon Bowdry (St. Louis, Mo.-Taylor (Mich.) Truman) and Medlock finishing with 20 points each. Bowdry ended the game with the 12th double-double of his career with 20 points and 14 rebounds. Green also had a double-figure scoring effort for EMU as he finished with 15 points.
