MAC won't be easy either.

MAC play has been a nightmare in 4 seasons too.
5 seasons when you throw in an ugly loss in Mt Pleasant in Bruce's senior season that killed our championship hopes then as well. And I can't say I care much for NIU defeating us that season either (2005)! That was pretty brazen of them! Don't they know we own the puppies from Dekalb?

A winning season for the Rockets will be difficult. But I think MAC football is going to be especially weak in 2010 so anything is possible.

Think about that as you go into the rebuild mode .
Beat the East and represent a bit better than the BC game in your bowl game.

If I wasn't clear, all I meant is that the above is a frighteningly difficult schedule. No smack intended.

As for BC, we needed to have most players reasobably healthy and bring our "A" game. I knew we were banged up on the DL and at RB, but I had hoped BC's injuries would offset that. Instead, LeFevour came down with a hellish migraine -- the reason he was pulled in the 2nd half -- Brown left with a minor case of turftoe, Gordy limped off with a groin pull, and one of our best other WRs decided to have an unprecedented case of the butterfingers. So, it was 7-3 BC at the half when the game should have been tied at worst, and four of our big playmakers were injured/ill/having a bad day. Without Gordy covering him, BC's best WR went off in the third quarter, that let the run game get established, and the rest was . Our backup QB even made sure the final score looked worse than the game was by throwing a pick six.

You don't have to tell me about the missed opportunity. Guess it just wasn't meant to be.
