RE: FB: Belt Home Game Attendance
Isn't FIU on FBS written warning (probation) for attendance this year? What happens if they miss a second consecutive year? And its a shame that ULM is having a great year but suffering at the turnstile. Finally - what was up with the attendance at UL last weekend? Isn't that a rivalry game? I would have guessed 20K for a game that could make either team bowl eligible. Was there bad weather or something?

THe ULM/ULL game came down to lots of rain. ULM has had 4 home games...two of them being total washouts with hours and hours of rain. Two other games had 18k and 17k i think. OH well.... U must take what you are given...and hopefully we can have a great crowd sat with it looking like great weather..

Weird how the Cajuns have 41,000+ in their home opener against Southern, but only 8,600 against ULM. That just doesn't make sense.

The weather was disgustingly gross.
Pretty crappy excuse... a reality nonetheless.
Weather looking good for this weekend, though.... Hoping for a nice crowd!!

Nah, I can understand that. As the team has more success, season ticket sales will go up and the numbers won't be hurt (as much) by bad weather. Luckily NT fans seem to be coming for the game itself rather than the win... I was shocked that we had almost 24K for our 2 win team.

FAU will tank this weekend.

South Florida is the epitome of a Bandwagon area. If you aint winning, they aint coming. Top that off with our opponent who is 0-10 and there is not a lot of incentive to come see the game.

Shame too as its Senior day and these kids are the ones who won the bowl games and made it happen the last 2 years.

FAU will report somewhere between 14-16 K Paid but buts in the seat will probably be about 6-8K.

Our last game versus Huntingdon College the attendance was 23,683.
Our attendance figures weren't too shabby considering the teams we played.

You'll need 23,347 to do that. Hope you pull it off, but that's 2.6 times the ULM attendance, 2x as much as UNT, and your 2nd highest attended game to end the season. Sounds like a tall task.

You know I'll be there, plus some. We even sat (stood) in the rain and cold Saturday night!

Yep...facebook didn't tell you that yet? LOL. Almost all settled in. Furniture and some appliances getting delivered tomorrow.

And all 3 of those games you mentioned were played under the threat of rain all day or actually with rain coming down. Current forecast for Saturday in Lafayette....high 68, low 50, no chance of rain. Only the Southern game was played under clear skies this season.

rain has hurt some game in LA this year...i hope the ULM/MT game has a good crowd but...monroe will probably continue to fail to support the best team that ULM has fielded in a few years.

Which could either work in your favor becuase the ULL fans that stayed high and dry will want to come out and see their team or it could hurt you because the casual Lafayettean(Lafayettite? Lafayeatian?) has already shifted attention elsewhere with having not been to a game since the opener and the Cajuns out of the conference race.

I dont think it will so much be the fact that we are 3-7 its that fact its thanksgiving weekend many kids go home. I also think we will have agreat showing fo rthe FIU game I have talked to many kids who want to go down to that game.
