ESPN Sportscenter talked about Bruce and said that he brought energy and hope to the Raiders. Russell (the benched QB ) has a 32 million dollar contract. It's not always about money.

Bruce has heart and he's a Toledo Rocket!!!

He still wouldn't mind having the 32 million.

Heck of a job by Bruce. This has to be one of the happiest days of his life. I hope he enjoys it because after that blind side hit I think he's going to be hurtin' tomorrow.

Raiders D really stepped it up and helped keep the team in the game.

Justin Fargas ran real hard today. He's one hard nosed runner.

Raiders have the Cowboys on Thursday, then the Steelers on the 6th. Nothing like jumping right into the fire.

Holy SH!T! I turned it off after the INT cuz I had to go pick up my daughter! AAAARRRRGGHHHH! Can't believe I missed it. I did note that at one point the announcer called Palmer Gradkowski twice. They couldn't say enough about Bruce. Guess he may start the next game too, huh? Now who was that that told me my prediction that they'd give up on Russell would never come to pass? 03-wink

By the way I noticed the OAkland stands looked like a mid-November MAC game.

Thanksgiving Day game at 4:15 is great exposure for both Bruce and Rocket Football. All those kids (and their families) that Coach Beck is recruiting for QB will be watching.

Although, I think he got lucky on more than one occasion, Bruce's performance is testimony to what one can achieve with hard work and fortitude. It also probably doesn't hurt knowing your Mom is working those Rosary beads back in Pittsburgh.

The Countdown Daily guys on ESPN.com had good things to say about Bruce as well:

Don't feel bad. After the tying TD I assumed it had to go into O, so I stepped out of the room for a couple minutes. When I came back they were just showing the Raider who recovered the fumble. I thought, "What, I missed the start of overtime? They must not have had very many commercials." It wasn't until I was talking to somebody on the phone later that I learned that the fumble happened while still in regulation and the game never did go into O. Drrrrrr..... I did think it was a little odd that the Raiders kicked off after the FG, though...
