RE: Here we go...ready or not...
All I know about ISU today is we beat SIU's suburban St. Louis Illinois side commuter school by 22 on the road (why we played a road game at SIUE is beyond me). Osiris got 19pts, Tony Lewis got 10pts off the bench.
In my first post on here, let me apologize for our chicken **** schedules. Most ISU fans, along with the rest of you guys, do not approve. Regardless, looking forward to the season, let's get some big wins this non-conf!

Illinois State beat SIUE 82-60.
Illinois State dominated the first half leading 43-22 by playing good team defense holding SIUE to 34% shooting.
The second half was played sloppily but the game was never in doubt as SIUE never got closer than 14 points.
Osiris dunked on the first play of the game for 2 of his 19 points. Lloyd Phillips also played very well scoring 14 points most of which were in the first half.
Dinma played well (10pts 8 boards) but tony lewis was the most impressive post player today recording a double double (10pts 11 boards) in his first game as a redbird.
Other key contributors were:
Kellen Thornton 12pts 7 boards with a couple of big time blocks
Austin Hill 9 pts 3 boards 2 asts but played good physical defense
Jackie Carmichael 6 pts 4 boards, big body who plays good defense but is extremely raw on offense
Terry Johnson and Justin Clark both played around 10-15 min and will be in the rotation the rest of the year
My favorite stat of the game: Dinma was 4-5 on FT
It appears that ISU will redshirt Jon Ekey, Zeke Upshaw and possibly Jeremy Robinson.

Bradley defeated Idaho State 74-69. However they suffered a major loss. Dodie Dunson, a senior, broke two bones in his forearm and is done for the year.
I hope Dodie heals well and is given a medical redshirt so that he can play again next year.
