I'd say 2-3 is reasonable right now. Slowly get rid of 'em as you get better and can afford it. When you start being able to win these games, limit 'em to 1-2 (should happen on its own as more teams refuse to play you). Pull some strings and get teams in your house (like MT with UVA, Minnesota, etc.) down the road. It takes some luck, and a good AD. But don't expect anything less than what you have right now with an 0-12 record.

ransdell and selig said there would only be one money game per year. like i said...the ky contract presented itself and it gives us 2 attendance games in nashville. so that is 2 money games per year. many of our sun belt brethren play up to 4 money games. you might want to point some of your advice in their direction as well.

as for your statement about 'when you start being able to win these games'...i laugh. name one money game other than ulm beating 'bammer that the belt has won. i'm not talking about 2-1's that all of us are doing. i'm talking about straight up money games.

who has won one of those??? i know we've come close this year with asu against iowa but i can't think of any straight money games we've won.

i think if most of our squads only schedule 2 of these type games per year it makes us a much tougher conference.

You asked that and followed it with "not trying to be smart". I thought you wanted an answer. And my comment wasn't directed at WKU in particular.

I agree with 2 or fewer. I want to see 1 money game, 1 FCS team, and 2 MAC/C-USA teams. That should be 2 home OOC games with both being winnable. That'll give a team 6 home games. If you can get an AQ team at home, then go for that too.

The problem is money. If WKU (and others) had the money to "go 1-A the right way" they would. It's just tougher than Ransdell-Selig thought it'd be. Every SBC fan laughed a little when they read those claims. We hoped you could pull it off, but knew it was near impossible.
