Not really. Would you go to an Ivy League school to study agriculture? Would you go to Texas A&M to study physics?

Now if you're an athlete, and all you want to study is the philosphy of athletics, coaching, sports marketing, broadcasting, or something along those lines, there are a ton of choices, and none are really better than any other. The key to those things depend on the success you experience in your chosen sport, and the contacts you make while playing. Those will go a long way toward determining your future success - unless you're one of the lucky few who make it to the pro ranks, and take care to ensure you never have to work after you retire from competition...
