Wow... FAU (1-7) I highly doubt that. 03-banghead

Lol. I meant that they will be higher, 1-7 is harsh... I doubt that a team that went bowling and WON will be that low the next year...

FAU would get waxed by Central Michigan this year. They've got the LeFevour (a healthy one, at that)

I think that WKU will steal one game somewhere this season.

Yeah, well they said he was 100% healthy during our bowl game, how did that work for them.

FAU - Undefeated in bowl games!!!!!
GO OWLS!

Well considering you've already lost one and still have to travel to Murfreesboro, a place that you guys just can't seem to win in... 05-stirthepot

Well CMU beat Michigan State this year. Their only loss so far this year came in Tuscon, I think they could win 9 or 10 games this year. And LaFevour is going to be playing on Sundays and Rusty's chances of doing the same seem to be deminishing.

I'd bet everything I own on the game (with FAU). Central Michigan is the real deal this season. Not sure if any Sun Belt team could beat CMU at a neutral site this year. I know, I know.......

i doubt Rusty plays much in the NFL. his throwing motion is terrible, his senior season is shaping up to be a dissapointment, and he plays for a smaller school. I'd look for him to be in the CFL or one of the remaining arena leagues if he's going to be a starter.

:agree:

He's certainly not helping his cause. Hes looked inaccurate on the long throws to be sure.

Well see but I aint holding my breath.

Not to take anything away from FAU, and this is all grapevine/conjecture by the way, but I believe a lot of the CMU players - particularly the seniors - were privately disappointed about spending another bowl season in Detroit for the third year in a row... can't really blame them. Until shortly before the bid, there were strong indications they'd be headed to the more scenic destination of Mobile. Secondly, if a Motor City invite was to happen, it nearly looked like a BCS team such as Minnesota or NC State might wind up as the opponent (and Notre Dame's name was bandied about too, but didn't really think that'd happen anyhow).

But neither the BCS opponent nor the southern destination worked out, and I think it showed in some of their play. At least initially.

Now that I semi-defended CMU, I feel dirty and wrong and need to take a shower.

Memphis came in with the same sort of attitude. They went to NO and partied and didnt work while FAU focused. I put that on Coach Schnellenberger who KNOWS how to get a team ready for a bowl game.

Go shower, I know how much those comments made you feel. 03-lmfao

hey OwlFamily, I just wanted to clarify that I hate it that Rusty isn't panning out for yall. I was really hoping that he, Levi, and Corey would all be big time QB's this season and all be drafted. That would have been great for the Sun Belt to have three quarterbacks taken in the draft.

No offense, but I don't see any sunbelt QB being drafted this eason, including Levi. None of them have put up good numbers against BCS teams. Levi put up a lot on LSU, but who didn't?

i agree completely. if Levi wants to get drafted, he is going to have to show the scouts something special every week from here on out.
