Not saying 'we're back'. Trying to stay very, very limited in my enthusiasm.

I've said two things tonight in regards to this win:

1) The MTSU fan who said not to "embarrass the Sun Belt" can suck it. Hard. And then suck it again.

2) Now that we're guaranteed no more than one loss vs. the MAC conference in this season, we now OWN the MAC. At least as I understand the concept of conference "ownership" based on the criteria laid out on this board.

I will say that I feel night-and-day better about our prospects this season. It's not just the win, it's the way we played in all facets of the game.

I'm not making any bold predictions, I'm not making any grand proclamations on what to expect the rest of the season. And I'm not predicting a win over anyone, yet.

All I'll say is that it doesn't look like this team is anything remotely like the ones we've put on the field the past two years.

Make sure your teams plan accordingly.

If the Mean Green offense plays all year like it did tonight then I fear your offense more than I fear the FAU and Troy offense.

RE: Not trying to burst NT bubble but
I wasn't impressed with Ball State going in or coming out.

But I went in concerned about whether UNT could get its act together and I feel better about the answer. I watched UNT-ULL last year and even when the assistants on the sideline were screaming about what the next play was the UNT defense couldn't do much of anything about it. That has changed. Riley didn't knock me out with his passing but I was impressed with how he led the team.

I don't think UNT is going bowling this year but I think UNT will play well enough to change some minds about Dodge as head coach.

This is why I say they must do it again next week against Ohio. Riley showed good leadership for his first time starting. The defense has really improved from last year. Doit next week and you will be on the way to the old NT winning ways.:clap2:

Don't be getting all cocky now just because you beat a crappy MAC team.

Hats off to UNT for sure, I had you guys counted out as well. Only time will tell if last night victory was UNT winning or Ball State losing, but in the mean time, congrats.
