Ridge pressured to raise Terror Alert level
Quote:Former US homeland security chief Tom Ridge charges in a new book that top aides to then-president George W. Bush pressured him to raise the "terror alert" level to sway the November 2004 US election.

I thought several of the terror alert changes came at opportune time for ol' George.

.

Seemed to me that they stayed pretty much on track with what was going on around us.

When I started hearing this "Conspiracy Theory", I took notice of the Warnings and really didn't see much of a change in how they were Raised or Lowered either before or after the Election.

And NO, I am not taking up for GW .... I honestly watched how these things tracked and it was a pretty smooth line if you tried to set a Chart and a Metric from that Data.

In fact, I thought they were a lot more active AFTER the election.

But that's just old "Mentally Ill Me" huh Robs ?????

The Democrats' biggest problem in '04 wasn't Homeland Security. It was John Kerry.
