For that matter, please tell Congress it's time for them to take a break and get their month-long, European-style vacations. (Whoever said that we don't learn best practices from other countries?) We certainly don't need any more ill-considered legislation out there.

Could we get some certified copy of some official government record, like maybe a birth certificate, to insure that we celebrate on the right day?

I don't like being self-referential, but this really takes the cake. (Following on the bloggers theme semi-intentionally.) Please get them out of there - flying coach, preferably.
