I obviously don't know the story of these two guys, but they seem happy to me. That's all I really want; is for people to be happy.
This video doesn't reflect poorly on MTSU. It does expose the hate out there though and it is sad.
I agree with you completely. Not a big PDA fan, but they weren't like hardcore making out or anything.

It's still taboo. Even one of the announcers said, 'Did I just see what I think I saw?'
I think that lifestyle is wrong, and I'd rather not have it presented to my child on TV as 'acceptable behavior'.....but that's my opinion.
Am I wrong in thinking this way, or, are you wrong in thinking that I should think this way?

I don't think seeing it on tv presents it as being acceptable. How many times do you see things on tv that are not acceptable?
IMO it's not an issue of right or wrong. If you think two men kissing is gross and would rather not see it that's one thing and if you have a problem with PDA on tv that's one thing, but if you think that two people who like/love/lust(whatever the case may have been in this specific case) expressing their feelings is wrong based on their sexual orientation, IMO that's intolerant.
I've never understood people who get bent out of shape about other people's relationships and sexual orientation. The whole idea of two men in California or New York or anywhere having a relationship and GASP maybe being married somehow has a negative effect on or devalues the relationship or marriage of a heterosexual couple in Tennessee, or Alabama or anywhere is ridiculous to me. With the divorce rate what it is and the percentage of people who cheat I'd say the whole idea of marriage is about as devalued as it can get, but even if it wasn't, what does any one married couples relationship(regardless of orientation) have to do with any other married couples relationship(regardless of orientation)?

RE: Top Gay Friendly College Football Schools
These are human beings that should have the right be with who ever they want. It doesn't affect anyone in anyway. No one has the right to tell another person who they can or can not be with and spend their life with. Only arrogant, close minded, and fearful people think that a homosexual relationship is wrong and should be banned by the government.
Get over it. If there are two people of the same sex who want to love each other and get married how does that affect you? It doesn't in any way.

number one....if it had happened at wku every muts poster alive would have ridiculed us for it.
i think a lot of it depends on your age. i would say the younger posters on this board are much more tolerant because they've had that view shoved down their throats from the media and schools since they were young.
i'm a pretty liberal person and have been around many gay men and women in my life. i usually found the guys pretty amusing as many of them were very talented and funny. i could care less what they shove up their rectums......i just wanted them to respect me and not reach for my package. never had one try to.
this is strictly anecdotal from my observations. most of the gay men i've met have had extreme substance abuse problems whether it was drugs or alcohol or both. i don't know what drove them to that whether it was societies judgement on them or some type of self loathing.
and most of these guys were very successful career wise. i realize substance abuse is a problem for heteros too but it just seemed worse. again, just my observations.
all that said. i don't care if it was innocent jubilation or not. this is a sports message board....dominated by males. you know that is gonna catch some heat on here.
p.s. "all muts fans are homos"
(for you mouth breathers that don't get sarcasm....that last one was a joke)

You're right we would have never let you guys live it down. Just like we dont let you guys forget about the whole goat incedent. We have caught hell for it especially from the Arkansas State fans. I think they keep a running thread about it all year long over on their board.

Personally, I could care less who you are shagging...Just get a room and keep it ALL off my tv (including straight couples) I don't want one of the children in my family asking me what's going on with that when they are too young to be getting involved with it. Also, according to the constitution, gays have the right to get married. They can' do it in my church, but if theirs will let them, have at it. Again, just keep it out of the streets (no matter your orientation) and off my tv until late at night when all the youngsters have gone to bed.

RE: Top Gay Friendly College Football Schools
As someone who works at MTSU, I found it unusual. It's certainly not something admissions is going to promote, but they are also secretly rather proud of the declaration, because it means gay students will likely seek us out. Any new student is a good student, so long as he or she is paying tuition and staying out of trouble.
I would also say based upon personal observation that there is not much open hostility on this campus toward gays. I can say that if an attack on the two guys in this video took place, it was never made known to the police or the administration. I doubt that happened. When I teach, I frequently have openly gay students in my classes. Being gay at MTSU is not something that has to be kept hidden for fear of reprisal. And I've taught at other Southern colleges where that is definitely NOT the case.

Good for you! I hope my son takes one of your classes - you sound like someone he would have interesting discussions with.
