RE: FB: Your teams top 6 players from this decade
Well I've been a Trojan fan since 2001, so here's my list. I'm sure some more "seasoned" Troy fans can elaborate with some older players.

DE: Demarcus Ware
DE: Osi Umenyara
DB: Leodis McKelvin
RB: Demontre' Carter
WR: Jerrel Jernigan
LB: Boris Lee

Honorable Mention: WR Gary Banks, QB Omar Haugabook, and DB Derrick Ansley

LB Taylor Casey

Very similar to your list.

Booger, Cobbs, Buckles and Quinn all on my list, too.

I'd add RB Jamario Thomas, just because the guy had the greatest statistical season of any true freshman running back in NCAA history. He had the hamstring problems, then a Todd Dodge problem in his senior year (but still managed to crack 1,000 yards, even with the bull**** platoon with Micah Mosley). He was transcendent... BEYOND amazing for his freshman year.

The sixth guy is a tough, tough call. You can make a case for WR Casey Fitzgerald, you can make a good case for CB "Neon" Don McGee. Spencer was great, but I'd give an edge to LB Brad Kassel at that position. You could make a case for DE Adrian Awasom, one of the best pure athletes (all conference D-lineman/future NY Giant, and a solid contributor to our basketball team as well) the SBC has seen in the past decade. We've had a great history of kicking specialists this decade (Jason Ball, Nick Bazaldua, Truman Spencer) but that's not really appropriate for the conversation.

As good as they all were, I'd go with a sleeper guy who I think is going to be unfairly overlooked due to the era he was stuck in. Safety Aaron Weathers was a one man (sometimes literally) wrecking crew in the secondary during some of the worst years our program has ever seen. I think he was every bit the talent that Jonas Buckles was, but he never really had a chance to shine because of our offensive problems and the relatively weaker talent around him. Honestly, he may not deserve to make the list as much as Awasom or Kassel, but I'm going with Weathers anyway.

So my Top 6 of the 2000's (in no particular order):

DT Brandon "Booger" Kennedy
RB Patrick Cobbs
S Jonas Buckles
WR Johnny Quinn
RB Jamario Thomas
S Aaron Weathers

Ouch. Senior moment. I accidently left our Brad Kassell. Plug him into Taylor Casey's spot in my list. correcting original post

Calico was very good in college. Too bad he was a bust for the Titans.

He was doing well until he got injured. He never recovered after that injury.

I think it's almost safe to put TY Hilton on that list already... In one year he's shown his worthiness.

Here's mine:

LB Antwan Barnes
WR T.Y. Hilton
RB Rashod Smith
WR Chandler Williams
Safety Nick Turnbull
LB Keyonvis Bouie
WR Corey McKinney

Joel makes a good point, and I edited to include "Good Bye" Hilton in there. He's already making a name for himself nationally.
