MT's Bryce Brentz At It Again With Team USA
Bryce Brentz hasn’t hit a long ball yet, but he’s at it again in the batter’s box.

The rising MTSU junior is hitting a team-high .528 with six doubles, a triple and 14 RBIs through 11 games with Team USA.

Folks, if you haven’t seen Brentz play, you need to next season because it will be his last with the Blue Raiders.

Chances are he will become the first Blue Raider position player to ever be picked in the first round.

Brentz led the nation in hitting at .465 this season and tied for the most home runs with 28. He also led the nation with a gaudy .930 slugging percentage.

Brentz and teammates will compete in the 37th USA vs. Japan College All-Star Championship in Japan beginning Saturday.

His summer experience will culminate with the World Baseball Challenge Finals in British Columbia July 26.

The fact Brentz wasn't named the Sun Belt Conference Athlete of the Year is a head scratcher.
