Yawn A Heisman thang and he's not even the best QB in the Belt. Muts had their "Hicks for Heisman", but he was the legit #1 RB in the conference at the time.

Levi has NO chance of winning the Heisman.

Who is the best QB in the Belt? The top 3 are Rusty Smith, Levi Brown, and Corey Leonard. Corey Leonard is too inconsistent. Rusty Smith didn't impress me much last year like he did in 2007. Levi Brown had great stats and his passing ability looks to be better than any other in the conference imo.

It was meant as a joke. But, I don't see another QB in the SBC standing head and shoulders above Levi.

Rusty was hurt he first part of last year he played with a seperated shoulder and still had a season.

Yes, Rusty IS tall and DOES stand head and shoulder over the other QB's in the confrence physically for sure.

still, Levi is IMO the QB in the best situation. Leonard, Smith, and Brown are the three best QB's in the Belt, but Brown has the most opportunity thanks to talent around him. It is my opinion that Troy has the best overrall talent in the Conference. Levi will benefit greatly from that.

Having better talent around him doesn't make him the better QB

no, but the three of them are all so close in talent level that the talent around him will be the factor that allows him to gain that extra step on the other two...in my most humble opinion.

In my most humble opinion, Smith & then Leonard are easily the two top talents at QB in the conference.

In my most humble opinion Smith is the better pocket passer and Leonard is the best all around QB in the conference.

well i guess we'll just have to wait and see. it is MY opinion that while Leonard is the best scrambler of the three, Levi is the best pocket passer. Of course, Rusty is an outstanding QB...although his throwing motion will make NFL scouts a bit weiry.

Levi is the best QB in the league. Nuff said..

I think they all have a chance to be the best. The best in 2006 was probably MTSU's QB. 2007 was Rusty Smith, with Omar Haugabook close behind. 2008 was Levi Brown. He outperformed both Leonard and Rusty, you can't argue that.

However, this year Rusty isn't injured, and Jason Harmon (he's a monster if you haven't heard) returns to the lineup. I expect Levi and Rusty to be neck and neck with Rusty probably pulling away a tad bid, being the best of the bunch.

As for Leonard, he could be really good, but he's been injured so much, I can't really tell if he'll be a world beater when he's not injured. He's been injured the past two years, and if he was really good before that, it's hard to tell if he can regain his previous form.

Prognostications for now:

1. Rusty
2. Levi
3. Corey
4. Dwight/Paul McCall/ULM's QB
5. ULL/UNT*/WKU

*Riley Dodge could surprise. He always reminded me of Omar Haugabook.

Hate ? There's no hate. If I hated ya, you'd sure know it. I just like to pull the chain of net posters who are so full of it for their TEAM. Backing your team is great. Declaring you schools greatness in everything from soup to nut is being a true homer. Do I beleive that Levi is the best QB in the conference. No way. Expressing that is not hate. Do I beleive that Troy is the center of the Sun Belt universe ? No way. Expressing that is not hate.
