Former Middle Tennessee defensive lineman Trevor Jenkins signed to play for the NFC East Philadelphia Eagles.

Defensive lineman Trevor Jenkins signed a free agent contract on Wednesday. Just hours after signing with the Philadelphia Eagles, Jenkins sat down for a Q & A session with BlueRaiderZone.com.
BRZ: Congratulations on your recent signing with the Philadelphia Eagles? As recently as Tuesday you were attending classes at Middle Tennessee State, so how did the signing come about?
Trevor: I actually was ready to close that chapter of my life. My main agenda was to graduate at the end of June and prepare for seminary in August. I was in my accounting class when my phone went off. I looked to see who was calling, and it was the Philadelphia Eagles. I answered, and someone asked to speak to Trevor Jenkins. I said, "This is he!" He asked me if I was healthy. In response I said, " As healthy as can be." Then he said, " Well we're putting you on a plane tonight to Philly." And the next morning I signed my first professional contract. Oh how Christ works in mysterious ways
