I forgot to add that the video features Lake hamilton WR, but it is Phillip Butterfield throwing him all those passes.

Oh ok, I was confused when I originaly saw this yesterday.

This kid looks very good. He shows great toughness in the pocket, at 1:58 he stepped up and took a huge hit while delivering the ball. He also has pretty good arm strength and is very accurate. At 3:32 he threw a near perfect jump ball in the endzone. The future looks bright at ASU.

If our receivers can just hang on to the ball, he might do very well.

THAT was FAU's problem last year. The Receivers/FB/TE's ALL had the dropsies. :muttering:

I wouldnt wish that on ANY QB.

I imagine Butterfield will redshirt this year behind a Senior in Corey Leonard

Lets hope so. We all know Roberts isn't very good with the way he handles the QB position ( Nick Noce).

I wouldn't mind seeing him not red-shirt Butterfield if he thinks he will be the starter in 2010. I'd rather he not start the first college game he plays in.

I've been thinking about that as well......a la Noce. It's a tough call. Waste a year -vs- some experience.

I think he should redshirt. Let workout during the fall then put the redshirt on him. Aplin Seems to be catching on pretty quick. Let Aplin and Butterfield battle it out next spring and fall.

I think we should just let him battle for the backup spot. If he wins the spot dont redshirt him and get him ready behind Leonard. If he doesnt. Redshirt him and have him ready to go for the 2010 season
