Ashley Lail pitched her second no-hitter of the season to lead the North Texas softball team to a 6-0 win against Troy on Saturday afternoon at Lovelace Stadium. The win completes the three-game sweep of the first-place Trojans.

The Mean Green improves to 24-18 overall and 10-7 in the Sun Belt, while Troy falls to 30-14 and 13-5 in the conference.

Very good playing by UNT. They've got a pretty good team. Maybe if they can keep on winning they could get an at-large to the NCAA's? They'd need to get some more big wins though, especially out of conference.

Don't know what qualifies as big wins, but UNT is 4-5 vs the Big XII (wins over Iowa State, kansas, Baylor and Texas Tech). Have an upcoming game with Oklahoma.

UNT taking 1 of 2 from Baylor is a big win. The other teams in the Big XII they beat though have some pretty bad records. A win over a Big XII team is always big, but RPI wise the Baylor win is the only big win against the Big XII.
