Seems the almighty Memphis tiger fans would kill, maim, steal or even abandon other CUSA schools to get the toppers into the league.

Course then WKU would probably never get another shot at the Dance due to almighty Memphis owning every other CUSA school.

Any thoughts Toppers?

Home and home with Memphis is pretty appealing. I also noticed that some of thier posters are starting to see the light on a USA - Sunbelt realignment which I think would be the best thing ultimately. Two, tighter conferences with good rivalries and that travel to one another. I think both of those two new conferences would be more competitive nationally than either USA or Sunbelt is now. (In football I mean. Obviously Memphis is competitive nationally now in basketball).

The Sun Belt with Memphis and WKU is better than C-USA with just Memphis and the rest of them when it comes to basketball.

The next few years are going to be interesting. ASU is getting serious, one service has ASU's recruiting class Top 25 among mid-majors. Troy is now aware of basketball actually being a sport, UALR is climbing out of the darkness but needs to ramp up the schedules. MT seems to be just about to come through. UNT is getting better under Jones and starting to attract fan notice.

I think there could be a real race on between CUSA and SBC for basketball respect.

I won't deny it, I'd love to see Memphis in Diddle Arena. It's an easy drive to the Memphis and with Calipari at the helm they are darn good. But outside of the two schools working out a home and home ooc game, the Cusa isn't going to happen.

I just hope the Belt continues to improve and we become a 2 bid league. That should be a goal for this conference. Two bids equates to NCAA money and high quality basketball.
