North Texas has six at home, but dates haven't been released yet.

That home schedule should boost your attendance. Wish we had that schedule.

RE: UL Football Schedule 2009
I am expecting our highest season attendance ever. Memphis, Mississippi State, and Western Ky will all bring lots of fans because they are fairly close.

Quite Frankly, I hate it. I agree with many around here that think
playing "MONEY GAMES" are prostituting your program. Our Athletic
Officials should find a way to make ends meet without having to accept
losses to do so. This is the easy way out, and it does not promote a
winning attitude. Basically, you need 7 wins to get to a bowl other than
the New Orleans Bowl. So why hamper those chances ? I think the Belt would be better served building Winning traditions. Rent-A-Loss games
DO NOT do so.
I do realize that on occasion, we could upset one of the Big Dogs, but
Percentages and results speak for themselves. We are doing just the opposite of SEC schools, they play a cup-cake pre-conference schedule,
and all they have to do is go 500 in conference , and they go to a Bowl
with a big payday. I do not want us to play cupcakes, but teams that
we at least have a better chance of beating. Until we realize this inequity, most of us will be sitting home come Bowl time, and losing
Fan interest. Fans want Winners. We should get rid of AD's who want
losers.

I agree as well.

So far it seems like FAU is moving into this pattern.

This year we have 2 money games, (Nebraska, South Carolina) 1 Midmajor (UAB) and 1 FCS (TBD)

I TRULY hope that they continue to do this, it gives you a realistic shot at coming out of our OOC schedule at 2-2 and you might occasionaly come out at 3-1.

That builds confidience for the team and also fan interest as your at break even of better coming into the Confrence games which are what really matter.

First of all, the MAJORITY of Cajun fans and the Administration have a completely different view than you have.

Also, Rent-A-Win games are just as bad for different reasons as Rent-A-Loss games.

What you want is a balanced schedule.

A couple of "names" on your schedule to get a little money, and to give your players and fans something to play for. There is more publicity and street cred that comes from beating a BCS program than winning the N.O. Bowl.

A game or two against a regional FBS rival.

And a game against an FCS rival that can bring fans to your stadium and a win for your program.

The only people who really want to quit scheduling BCS programs are coaches and their friends and families.

Sorry, but i don't agree, and i know i am not alone. Who mentioned anything about Rent-A-win games? Like is said, let's play good teams,
but teams that we have at least a better chance of winning.
Now you say we should give players something to play for. Last time i looked, our recruiting ranking was near the bottom. So my friend, Why do you think that is? Well, I'll tell you, they want to play for a Winner.
Our Fans want to support a Winner. When we lose, attendence drops,
or chances of a bowl appearance drops, our reputation drops, or recruiting drops.. The only thing that goes up in money games is our bank account. I know that UL football fans want a winning program,
and your way is not giving us that. How many losses are YOU willing to trade for 1 upset of a BCS school if and when that happens? And I would like an honest answer to that. I hate losing, period, and you
accept it as a norm. I bleed Ragin Cajun Red, and i hurt when we lose.
If you felt the same way, you would see it my way.
