Alex Galindo wins it on a 3 pointer with 2 seconds left and FIU is helped by the return of big man Freddy Asprilla. Nicola Gascesa our starting PF is still listed as day to day, but this was a great win over one of the top teams in the East. Go F I U!

In a way it helps because we won't have this huge winning streak going into the tournament due for a loss...now we can regroup and be ready for some action!!!!!!

Congrats on the win guys. This is the first time I've felt BAD about a basketball loss. But anyways, well done guys.

Troy just wasn't playing good tonight. In part due to FIU playing so well. Great win for FIU. I knew this was going to be a tough game with all your guys back from injury.

Not quite all of them, still missing Nicola who burned WKU when we beat them and missing JC Otero who will probably be medically redshirted at this point. If we get Nicola back then I think this team can beat anybody, certainly as talented as any team in the Belt.

This one was huge! GREAT win for us and it definetly is a confidence booster! This proves we can compete with anybody... we've gotten some unfortunate breaks, but hopefully things turn in our favor come the tournament!!

I think you could be correct there.

I don't know whether to be happy because Troy lost or worried because FIU is healthy coming into BG Saturday.

I'd be worried! From what I saw, FIU can get it done. They were giving Troy trouble all night when it came to shooting. PLUS FIU GETS SO MANY OFFENSIVE REBOUNDS IT'S RIDICULOUS!!

I assume Troy has the #2 seed atm since they have the tie-breaker over UALR?

Nevermind, I just noticed Troy has one more loss than UALR. CRAP!

Also, unless something has changed, the division winners are always 1 and 2. You can't earn a higher seed than a division winner based on overall or conference record. If WKU and UALR win the divisions, they'll be 1 and 2 regardless of whether Troy has a better record than UALR.
